Driver and passenger protection against electrical shock
The HIST-2 instruments and systems are intended for electric road vehicles. It increases the safety of passengers and drivers by timely warning against possible electrical shock.
- Continuous monitoring of the traction battery’s insulation resistance and of the insulation status of the IT networks for the auxiliary drives.
- Linking with the vehicle via an interconnecting CAN bus
- Entering the user’s configuration using the diagnostic programme (the parameters of the traction battery, the run-time parameters)
- Saving error messages in the device’s internal memory
- Status indication of the device via the LEDs located on its upper panel
- Communication with the master system via the CAN bus communication protocol enables the onboard computer to obtain information about the current level of the insulation resistance of the traction battery and, by means of its internal diagnostics, also enables the monitoring of the device’s activities
The monitoring device is built into a plastic box (measuring 266 x 162 x 41 mm) with the option of mounting it on a DIN rail.
