Airborne Communication Transceiver LUN 3520
The airborne communication transceiver LUN 3520 is a VHF–UHF transceiver designed for the communication between aircraft by means of the built-in intercom for the communication between the aircraft crew and for the communication with the ground means of air traffic control. It works in channel steps of 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz.
The basic assembly is composed of the transmitter-receiver bank, spring-loaded frame, control box, switch box and the low frequency block.
The transceiver is implemented as a system of separate blocks, the combination of which makes it possible to achieve the optimum application configurable for any type of aircraft, helicopter or air traffic control unit. Its technical parameters meet ICAO regulations and NATO standards. With its characteristics and parameters, it is comparable with the transceivers used in the armies of NATO member states. It is often used for the modernisation of aircraft and helicopters manufactured in the Czech Republic or Russia.
Transmitter-Receiver Block
Transmitter-Receiver Block
For two-way simplex phonic radio communication
The transmitter-receiver block is a separate block of the airborne communication transceiver LUN 3520. It is manufactured in several versions. It contains the power supply, receiver, transmitter, frequency synthesizer, remote control circuits, testing and emergency receiver circuits.
It allows two-way simplex phonic radio communication on any channel in the band of VHF (117.975-155.975) and UHF (220.000-399.975) MHz.
The channel step in the VHF band is 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz, and 25 kHz in the UHF band.
The transceiver block is installed in a spring–loaded frame.
Control Boxes
Control Boxes
Remote control of the transceiver
The control box allows the remote control of the transceiver and serves as the on-board phone. The on-board phone is fully backed-up. The control box block contains, in addition to the control circuits, also the LF amplifier that allows the transmission of necessary LF signals to the pilot. The control box allows choosing one of 20 pre-set channels, frequency setting of individual channels by means of the PRG button, direct selection of frequency, direct selection/channel selection switching, switching of selectivity, connection of emergency receiver listening-in, activation of self-test, selection of transmitting priority, squelch switching and other functions. The operating frequency is indicated on the LED display.
Switch Boxes
Switch Boxes
Selection of control of two transceivers
The switch box allows choosing the control of two transceivers. ... It allows regulation of sound volume or switching-off of the other transceivers listening-in.
LF Block
LF Block
Telephone connection with aircraft attendance
The LF block allows the telephone connection with the technical attendance of the aircraft and provides the circuits for processing warning and indication signals.
Certification
The transceiver is certified for military aviation applications.
Antennas
For the posts with fixed means of communication
We have experience with the production of more resilient antennas designed for installation on the posts of stationary communication units. The antenna serves for receiving and transmitting in the first, second or in both aircraft communication bands of vertically polarised electromagnetic waves.
